Activity • Make a birdhouse out of recycled materials • Criteria: • Your birdhouse must have a door that is big enough for a golf ball to fit through, have a perch inside and outside, be able to hang from a tree or other support for 5 minutes with a golf ball inside, keep birds safe from rain and wind, and be squirrel and cat proof.

  3. My Birdhouse Materials • Soda bottle • Popsicle sticks • Cloth • Glue • String

  4. My Lesson • Read about what recycling from worksheet • Bring in recyclable objects • make birdhouse following the worksheet requirements • Hang houses in school yard and see which houses the birds like the most • Talk about how we could be less wasteful in school
