  5. Sea Lions • The California sea lion is a type of seal that lives in cool water off the rocky coast of western North America.

  6. Angel Fish • The 50 or more species of angelfish are some of the more striking fish.

  7. Sand Dollars • The Sand Dollar is a spiny, hard-skinned animal that is shaped like a coin.

  9. Ocean Waves • In deep water, a wave is a forward motion of energy, not water.

  10. Abyssal Plain • The Abyssal Plains is the flat,deep ocean floor. 

  11. Hydrothermal Vents • Hydrothermal vents are geysers on the ocean floor.

  12. Antartic Circumpolar • The strongest current in the ocean is the Antartic Circumpolar current.

  13. Reef • A reef is a coral community consisting of several thousand organisms living together.
