  2. Uses of Hyper links It is easy to hyper link within a PowerPoint presentation. Here are some applications: (click) • A child’s record of achievement or progress file – link from index to activity • A “branching” storybook for literacy hour • “Cause and Effect” – click on a response and go to a specific page This presentation uses Office XP – some effects are not available in earlier versions of PowerPoint Ludlow Learning – Independent ICT support for Special Educational Needs. rik.ludlow@ntlworld.com

Step by step: • Make your slides • Click on the words you want to use as a hyperlink • Go to “Insert / Hyperlink” ,or press cntrl+k, or right-click on the selected words • Press on “Link to place in this document” • Select the slide you want to go to.   4. Step by step: “Advanced Features” • Click on a text box then click on its grey border to hyperlink the whole text box. This stops the words turning blue and underlined. • Make a text box that returns you to your index page. Copy this to each page for ease of use. You can save your PowerPoint (PPT) presentation in two useful ways: • PowerPoint Presentation – You can edit and show, but only on a PC with PPT installed • PowerPoint Show – You can view the show only, but can do so on ANY Windows PC. • This version is saved as a show – so cannot be edited.
