Professional education & training (a) Examples of tailored training courses for banks Banking and Financial Management (120 hrs) Banking Academy (4 programmes for different groups of executives and staff (32 hrs each) Business Lending (32 hrs) SEPA (4 hrs) Business Ethics in Banking (fast-track, large scale, 4hrs)

    8. 8 I. Professional education & training (b) Training on regulatory issues (year 2007) The Compliance Function in Banks Knowledge-based certification programme Duration: 60 hrs. Certificate holders in 2007: 70. Basel II in the Greek Banking System Modular programme consisting of 9 modules (corresponding to the related Acts of the Governor of the Bank of Greece that integrated Basel II in the Greek regulatory framework)

Professional education & training (c) Training for regulated professions Investment Services Six different certificates by decision of the Bank of Greece and the Hellenic Capital Market Commission Corresponding training courses designed the HBI HBI supporting textbooks: The institutional and regulatory framework of the capital market Investment banking foundation knowledge – Receiving and transmitting orders Insurance Intermediation One certificate especially for bank employees selling insurance products, by decision of the Greek Ministry of Development Training course and textbook designed by the HBI

Founding member of the Greek «Train the Trainers Net». Elaboration of job profiles for the financial services sector at national and European levels.

Cooperation with the Central Federation of Chambers for the application of the Basel II framework as regards SMEs.
