Our vision is to provide a “Best in Class” youth program to the Hudson community • Program Vision: A “Best in Class” youth developmental program which serves as an integrated component within the broader Hudson Wrestling program • Statement of Purpose: Provide Hudson youth with an opportunity to: • learn basic wrestling skills through a structured learning process, • increase one’s self-confidence, agility, coordination and strength, • establish a clear linkage between effort and outcomes, • have fun

  5. Recap of 2006/7 Season (slide 1 of 2) Remarkable Year to Year (05 to 06) improvement in both attendance and winning pct. Firestone Match Attendance • Last year  40 Participants, 40% of whom were first year wrestlers. (Up from 90% 1st year wrestlers in the previous season) • Competed in Firestone District of the Ohio Youth Wrestling League • On avg, 59% of program participants competed at Firestone matches each week. (Up from 39% in the previous season) • Avg Win Pct at Firestone was 0.470. (Up from 0.320 in the previous season) • 23 Participants competed in Final All Star Tournament of which 67% medaled: • Five first place finishes (up from 2 in previous yr) • Five second place finishes (up from 1 in previous yr) • Four third place finishes (same as previous yr) = 2006/7 = 2005/6 Firestone Win Pct = 2006/7 = 2005/6

Recap of 2006/7 Season (slide 2 of 2) Status against beginning of year 2006/7 Program Objectives • 2006/7 Season Objectives: • (MISSED) Start with a winning percentage of 0.500 per week at Firestone and build towards 0.800 per week by end of season • (MISSED) 75% attendance at Firestone Matches • (MISSED) 75% medal in final All Star Tournament • (MADE) 85% attendance in practices • (MISSED) 75% of kids attend at least 2 youth tournaments in February/March • Also Note: • (??) Have 25% of our 6th grade youth graduates start on the Middle School “A” Squad next year • (MADE) 66% of our eligible program entrants will chose to return in 2008

  7. 2007/8 Youth Wrestling Program Format • Compete in Firestone Division (Buckeye District) of the Ohio Youth Wrestling Association • Buckeye District competitors include: Wadsworth, CVCA, Walsh, Uniontown Lake, Stow, Green, Mantua • Field both a Varsity and All Star Team • Varsity Team • Compete in Sunday dual matches • Weight classes defined by OYWA • Westle off to earn Varsity roster spots will occur on Thursdays • Compete in OYWA District Tournaments • All Star Team • Compete on Sundays in the All Star matches where they are paired against other “All Stars” of similar weight and age • Compete in the end of season“All Star” Tournament • Option to continue to practice/wrestle with Varsity through varsity end of season

  8. 2007/8 Program Objectives • 2007/8 Season Objectives: • Varsity winning percentage start at 0.200 at Firestone and build toward 0.500 by end of season • 3 Varsity wrestlers qualify for OYWA States • Allstar winning percentage start at 0.300 per week at Firestone and build towards 0.750 by end of season • 75% medal in final All Star Tournament • 75% attendance at Firestone matches • 85% attendance in practices • 75% of kids attend summer wrestling camp • 50% of participants compete as part of Team Kratos Tournament Team in February • Also Note: • Have 50% of our 6th grade youth graduates start on the Middle School “A” Squad next year • 66% of our eligible program entrants will chose to return in 2008

Overview of Firestone Matches on Sundays • Arrive approx 1 hour before wrestle start time (start time ~ 1:00pm) • Kids arrive in singlet, sweatshirt, t-shirt/shorts (carry wrestling shoes, water bottle, towel in bag) • Assemble in lobby area and proceed to weigh-ins • Parents not involved with coaching proceed to spectator viewing area • Team warmups (20 mins) • Varsity Match begin • All-stars proceed to bull pen/staging area • All-star pairings distributed and wrestlers proceed to assigned mat • Matches begin • Wrestling Completed ~ 2:30pm Hudson Competes Against Programs in 4 Divisions

Other Items • Visit our team website: www.hudsonyouthwrestling.com • Special Events • Team Recognition at Hudson Explorer’s 1st home match in Dec. • Optional group attendance at Walsh Ironman Wrestling Tournament in December • Optional Practices over Christmas • Snow days • End of Year Participation Awards. Earned as a result of  • Attending 85% of the scheduled practices, and • Competing in 3 out of the 5 Firestone matches, and • Competing in either the All Star Tournament or Varsity Districts Tournament
