Course • Operations Management (MGNT 3185) is a course that exposes students to a variety of quantitative techniques using Japanese phrases such as “kanban” and “poka-yoke.” However, the majority of textbooks fail to provide a sufficient historical context as to the origin of these words and techniques that are used to control and/or monitor production processes.
