  5. Health risks • Horse meat is usually not harmful to health • harmfulingredients like Phenylbutazone found • used as doping agent for sports horses • 500–600 burgers containing 100% horsemeat would need to be eaten to receive the daily human therapeutic dose

Reactions • EU agriculture ministers announced a three-month programme of DNA testing of processed meat across the European Union • 23 May 2013 Willy Selten was arrested for selling 300 tonnes of horsemeat as beef • Up to 20 people were arrested • Consumer protection minister of Germany want tighter requirement to label • to expensive for the consumers  no changes until today!
