The Treaty of Versailles • Stripped Germany of former colonies • Gave Alsace-Lorraine back to France (from Germany) • Limited/Disarmed Germany’s military • 100,000 soldiers, small navy, no air force, few/no submarines • Germany had to pay massive reparations ($33 Billion) • Germany/Central Powers forced to admit guilt
