  2. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special ProjectsBackground • If you haven’t used MEGS-Plus, it is recommended to review Agency Training (a broad overview of MEGS-Plus) before this presentation • This session focuses on: • Initiate the application • Complete and submit the application

  4. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Getting There • After login, this is your Home Page. • If you have applications to initiate, click on View Available Applications/Tasks. • If you don’t this section doesn’t even show.

  5. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Available Applications/Tasks • This shows all available to initiate applications. • Click on the Initiate button to start the process.

  6. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Agreement • To initiate you need to click on “I Agree”

  7. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Application Menu • The Detail link is clicked to see more about the application’s • Agency • Status • To enter the application to create/edit, select “View Edit”

  8. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Application Menu • The View/Edit page for initiation requires you to click on “Review Grant Selections”

  9. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Review Grant Selections • Click on “Apply Now” for each applicable Funding Source • Notice on some applications, you have the option to “apply later” • Click on “Save” and receive the message “the information has been saved”

MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Getting There • After login, this is your Home Page. • Within My Application/Tasks, click on “open Application/Tasks” • And you see the applications available to work on (as shown) • Notice the scroll bar (far right) • Click on the “identifier” of the specific application desired

  12. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Getting There • The Detail link is clicked (as shown) to see more about the application • Agency • Status • To enter the application to create/edit, select “View Edit” • Also notice “Change Status” • You select this when ready to submit (more later)

  13. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – View/Edit Page • This page lists the forms that comprise the application • Also shows who created and when last updated • Click on the link to access the page for creation/edit of info

MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – View/Edit Page • By the way, the pages/forms for WIA Special Projects include: • Other • Cover Page, Assurance and Certifications, Important Information • Management Activities • Review Grant Selections • General • Additional Contact Information • Budget • WIA Leadership, Civics Leadership • Program Info • Authorized Activities & Narrative, Agendas • Attachments • Upload

  15. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Management Activity: Additional Contact Info • Complete all fields • Name, Address, Phone, Email, etc. are required (*) • Fax and phone ext are optional • Select “save” (not shown)

MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects –Budget: Summary • The top box shows funding source, grant, agency • The middle box shows the Budget Summary by function codes (along the left) and object codes (along the top) • Enter the required “*” contact information (at the very bottom) • Then select Budget Detail

  17. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Budget: Detail • This page shows the Budget Detail • Select add or edit a budget item • Also notice “Global Errors” button (more later)

MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Budget: Item • On the bottom half of the page, select the function code (from the dropdown) • Also use dropdown to select either Local Agency Share or Tuition/Fees • Enter description • And enter budget • If enter salary also need benefits • If included Salary/Benefits then must have FTE/hours • Click on Save Budget Item (top of page, but not shown) to “save.”

  19. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects –Authorized Activities & Narratives • Click on sections (A through D) as applicable. • Complete project title, dates, # to be trained and narratives • Please notice beneath each entry box in the character length limitation

  20. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects –Agenda • Each project must have: • Title, Date, Location and Presenter(s) • And an agenda (at least 1 row in the table). • Click Add (not shown) if need more than one agenda

  21. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects –Agenda • Further down the same page… • You enter “Title” for each resume of the presenter • And use the browse to find/attach/upload their resume.

  22. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Upload • Enter a page name • Select browse and attach documents (as required) • These uploads may, for example, be more extensive narratives.

  23. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Global Errors • On many pages (as noted earlier), there is a Global Error button. Select at any time. • When you select, the result tells you what is not yet right/complete • It also notes things which are completed and correct • For errors, click on the link and it takes you to the page with an error • All errors must be corrected before submission.

  24. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Submission: Change Status • When you think you are done and want to submit • You can get to this Application Menu page (from many pages) by clicking on the Identifier • Select “View Status Options” with the Change Status section

  25. MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Submission: Change Status • The Change Status page shows available options including ability to submit to MDE for review • If unsure, simply back out. Choose neither option. • A reminder…click on the Detail link to see more about the application

MEGS-Plus: WIA Special Projects – Submission: Change Status • If you submit the application and no global errors, you receive this page • If you click “I Agree” then this “commits” the Agency will meet “assurances and certifications” • If you click “I do not agree” you are taken to the Application Menu.
