  1. Measurement and Motion Random Motion The motion that changes the direction continuously is called random motion. The motion of butterflies, the motion of football players on the field are examples of random motion, as they do not have any definite direction in their motion.

  2. Measurement and Motion Oscillatory Motion Oscillatory motion is motion that repeats itself at regular intervals. For example, a pendulum swinging back and forth and mass oscillating on a spring.

  3. Measurement and Motion Curvilinear Motion Motion along a curved path is called curvilinear motion.
