  3. Dolphins are incredible animals. They are in the mammals group. There are 40 kinds of dolphins in the world.

  4. What do they look like? Some dolphins have small spots on their back. Some have pink bellies. Dolphins have bodies to swim. The tail fin is called a fluke. Dolphins do not have hair. Dolphins look like sharks. Most of them have big noses. We cannot see their ears.

  5. Where do they live? Dolphins live in all oceans. A lot of dolphins live in aquariums. Some even live in cold water. Most of them live in warm water. Some even live in rivers.

  6. What do they eat? Dolphins eat fishand squid and octopus and shrimp. Dolphins can swim fast to catch their food. They can sneak up behind them to catch their food.

  7. How do they grow? When dolphins are born they are in a ball shape. They stay with their mom. Then they turn into a baby dolphin. They grow and grow and grow until they are grown. Then they turn into a grown up dolphin.

  8. How do they protect themselves? Their enemies are killer whales and sharks. Some dolphins have spots to blend in to the sand to get a way.

  9. Interesting facts Dolphins can jump. Dolphins are not fish. They are mammals. They have smooth skin and soft skin. Some dolphins can bite a shark in a fight. They can float on their back. Dolphins can jump really high like they’re touching the sky. Dolphins can swim fast. Dolphins are friendly animals. They can do a front flip and a back flip. Dolphins are big and small.
