Entrepreneurship in Curricula • One of the core subjects in ALL vocational studies since 2010 (minimum of 5 credits) • Is not only a study module by itself but is embedded in other modules • Entrepreneurship and initiative is one key component of lifelong learning • Optional study modules • A final project (2 credits) and on-the job learning (a minimum of 20 credits) • Aim: not only entrepreneurs but workers with entrepreneurial work attitude

  5. Entrepreneurship in Vocational Study Programmes Entrepreneurship is included either as an optional or compulsory component of different vocational qualifications • VQ in Music, Piano Tuner • VQ in Dental Technology, Dental Laboratory • VQ in Business and Administration

One of the 11 Key Competences for Lifelong learning Initiative and Entrepreneurship Student: • works towards completing set objectives • takes initiative and acts in a customer-oriented way as an employer and/or entrepreneur. • plans activities and works to reach the objectives set. • acts economically and is result-orientated. • sets personal goals in line with the overall objectives.

Conclusions • Entrepreneurship education needs clear national guidelines, with teaching models and methods known to the teachers • Genuine cooperation=”collision” between students and enterprises • Entrepreneurship education: • solidcomponent of vocational curricula • be of a more cross-disciplinary nature • part of teacher training • Sufficient resources
