  1. Well-nourished bucks begin sprouting new racks each April. Whitetail Deer • If temperatures drop to single digits farenheit, whitetail deer often move during the midday hours. • Thank you for reading my brochure. Whitetail deer are my favorite animal! • The large ears of deer can rotate 180 degrees and pick up high-frequency sounds By Jennifer Weiland http://www.huntstats.com/whitetail.deer.facts.html

  2. A whitetail's hair appears bluish-grey in winter. New hair that grew in during autumn provides whitetails with added insulation. The tips on these new hairs are dark, giving the winter hide its richer hue. • The white tailed deer is native to the United States. They can be found in all states except California, Nevada, Utah, Alaska, and Hawaii. What do deer eat? • Deer eat mostly browse (leaves, twigs, shoots of woody plants and vines) and forbs (weeds and other broadleaf flowering plants). • Most live in forests but many can adapt to other habitats, including farmland, swamps, and deserts. http://www.fnal.gov/pub/today/archive_2004/today04-07-22.html http://creativebits.org/inspiration/snow_leopard_desktop_pictures http://www.brighthub.com/environment/science-environmental/articles/48142.aspx http://www.huntstats.com/whitetail.deer.facts.html
