Diathermicenergy transfer • Despite the massive use of this technique, and the significant amount of work in the field of the physiological effects of heat on biological tissues, diathermy therapy has often been applied in a naive way, with total absence of measurable physiological parameters that would allow an objective assessment of therapeutic efficiency.
