  2. Class Rules, Expectations and Procedures In order to receive the most from instruction, group and class activities, there are rules and expectations that I require in addition to those listed in the student handbook.  Please comply with the following: BE PREPARED WHEN CLASS BEGINS ·Wear your student ID above the waist at all times while on campus.  This is for safety purposes and so very important.  I will check as you enter the classroom each day. ·Go to the restroom and take care of personal business before class; passes are used only for emergencies. ·Be in the room and seated when the tardy bell rings. ·Keep all backpacks, purses or similar items under your desk. ·Come to class prepared.  This includes as a minimum a pencil or blue/black pen and a notebook to take notes. ·Homework due is collected at the beginning of class.  You will not use the period to finish uncompleted work.  If it is not ready when you enter the room, it will be counted as missing. ·DO NOT bring food or drinks in the classroom. Remain in your desk until dismissed by the teacher at the end of class. CLASSROOM EDIQUETTE ·Do not interfere with anyone else’s learning in class. While you may understand a concept already, others may not.  Disrupting their concentration may cause them to do poorly. ·Follow all directions, pay attention and take part in class activities. ·Treat each other, the teacher, school and other people’s property with respect.  Profanity and derogatory language are unacceptable in the classroom. ·DO NOT use IPODS, cell phones, or any electronic devices per district policy.
