  7. MSc[LIM]: Admission requirements • Bachelor’s Degree OR qualifications & experience of equivalent standard • Fees HK$94.5k for 8 modules (some are CEF)

  8. Aims Designed to prepare graduates to: • be ‘informed, reflective practitioners’ in the information age • develop information leadership capacities that can be used in a wide variety of professional environments – library & other

  10. Program • Extends over 1 academic year of F/T study or 2 years for P/T • Flexible modular structure allowing students to complete the degree at their own pace • Face-to-face, supplemented by flexible online delivery

  15. Advanced standing Will be given for previous study: • If previous study was at the postgraduate level • Up to 3 modules credit is possible

  16. Intake Since the MSc[LIM] program was launched in 2004, 274 students, from a broad range of backgrounds (eg teachers, school administrators, librarians & IT officers etc) have graduated from the program

  17. Comments onMLIM MSc[LIM] is very useful for school librarians. The content is insightful & lecturers are very helpful.  I enjoy studying the course & I have recommended this course to other school librarians The program is very good in terms of breadth & depth of knowledge provided in the field of LIM. I have worked in libraries for 9 years. I think the knowledge covered in different modules are current & updated such as web 2.0, social bookmarking & library visits analysis. The modules are very practical too!
