  4. Community College • Financial Cost • Transfer to a 4-year university • Learn job skills and receive training necessary to enter the job market • Explore various subject areas while you are deciding on a major or career field

  12. SAT Subject Tests • Required by some private schools and UC system • A test designed to measure your knowledge in a particular subject area • The best time to take the SAT 2 is toward the end of the year as the student is completing the course • Time: 1 hr.

  16. Student Responsibility • It is extremely important for students to take ownership of the college application process. • Colleges want to see that students are independent and interested in the college.

  17. What else you can do… • Visit Colleges • Look over your transcript • Make sure it is correct • Start working on a resume/activity list (sample on BCS Counselor Website) • Maintain a single e-mail address • Appropriate, professional email addresses, only!
