Tower Simulation System Acquisition Schedule • Complete Acquisition Planning process by June 01 • Get on contract during 2001 • Have first system delivered in early • 2002 • Full production in 2003 (15-20 towers per year) • Last simulator delivered in 2006 • Central support facility manages software • and 24-hour call desk

  3. What will it have? Site specific database Voice recognition system Full library of USAF aircraft Actual tower viewpoint, ability to rotate 360 degrees (200 degree continuous display) Operations console similar to tower 3 positions plus a supervisor console

  4. What it will have (cont.) • User friendly scenario generation tool • Scenario transportability (load up Eielson database and scenarios on Travis’ simulator for pre-PCS training) • Pre-deployment training capability (unclassified locations) • Interchangeable scenarios (local adaptation required) to benefit from the training guru’s work at many locations.
