  10. These are the socks that are wrinkled and bunched in the boots I wear in the snow.

  12. This is the sled I rode in the snow. It crashed and I fell.

  14. These are the tears that fell from my eyes that dripped on the scarf when I fell in the snow.

Activities • Students put on actual clothing items as the story is told. • Students create an illustration of what I wear in the snow. • Students retell the story with a stick puppet and felt clothing. Students dress the puppet with the felt clothing as the story is told. The picture/word vocabulary cards can be printed from www.makinglearningfun.com Students sequence the story with the picture/word vocabulary cards. • Print out key words on one inch blocks from the website www.makinglearningfun.com Have students place the tiles over the letters to spell the words from the story. Key words: jacket, zipper, scarf, mittens, tears, mother.
