  2. Purpose of meeting Discuss preliminary vision for St. Vincent’s Open lines of communication Share information as previously committed Seeking your input in the process

Bought property in July 2009 • Committee appointed to create vision • Sold Diocesan buildings parcel • Sold Sisters of Humility parcel • Request for small parking lot on property • Vision for property use in first phase • Will not have all answers this evening • Will not have student housing SVC Status to Date

  4. Total EnrollmentFall ‘02 - Fall ‘09

  5. Significant athletic & recreation needs • Serve physical needs of student body • Serve 22 collegiate athletic teams • Remain competitive & further learning • Supplement one field & one gym floor (currently using 11 off-site locations) • Be an asset to the neighborhood & city University Needs Identified

Loras College - 1568 enrolled Campus football, soccer, softball fields Competition track around football field Campus recreation center w/pool St. Xavier University (Chicago) - 5057 enrolled Fitness Center (85,000 sq. ft.) on campus Football, baseball, softball fields on campus Practice fields and recreation space Comparison Institutions

  7. Process for Developing • Phase I - internal group (appointed by President as noted in newspaper) • Phase II – seeking external input from city, neighbors, and adjacent property holders • Phase III – project prioritization Preliminary Vision

Process & Timeline • Small south parking lot (with P & Z) • East Section – 1-2 years at earliest • Remaining – unknown • Piece of larger capital campaign • May change pending input • Zoning requires special use permit • Long term – many priorities including main campus indoor facility, student financial aid, and other building renovations
