  2. GIORGIONE’S SQUARE Giorgione Square is in the centre of the town, in front of the medieval walls. Around the square there are a lot of old buildings, that are now used as shops or houses. All around the walls there is a ditch where we can see the famous Giorgione statue.

  3. CATHEDRAL & GIORGIONE ALTARPIECE (LA PALA) Inside the Cathedral we can glorify the amazing Altarpiece. It’s famous because it was the first time that the Vergin was represented with a red stole. Cathedral is in the old town centre. It is near the so called Giorgione’s house.

  4. REVEDIN-BOLASCO’S PARK Outside the ramparts, the Neo-Renaissance style Villa Revendin-Bolasco has a romantic English garden with a small lake. Near it there is the “arena-cavallerizza” surrounded by some statues.

  5. ACADEMIC THEATRE This theatre, designed by the architect Francesco Maria Preti in the 18th century, is a bit small, but very pretty. It is near the Cathedral and it is still used today for the cultural life of Castelfranco .

  6. TYPICAL PRODUCTS We produce different type of wines, such as the “Prosecco” and the “Merlot”, and distilled liquors such as the “Grappa of Bassano”. Castelfranco and Treviso are particularly proud of their famous “Radicchio of Castelfranco and Treviso”. Other typical food products are Asparagus and Sausages.
