Transfer of Appropriate Requirements for Global Education and Technology This multicounty project will support the development of HE in CA as a top priority and will help to develop the economical situation and rise the life standard as a side effect. The project brings together a multidisciplinary consortium providing a unique opportunity to develop innovative new academic programs and courses that will provide a common educational core while, at the same time, enabling students to choose elective modules according to their professional development needs and personal interests. The TARGET project will help to provide a skilled and knowledgeable professional workforce capable of working at a high level within local and regional universities programs with the support of new research Technologies. The project will recruit students and staff from different areas and professions. During the project life, the students will be taught and trained by top-level specialists from the EU partner universities which will also enable the partners to establish different network links for future research, education and innovation activities within the project and beyond for further joint actions in the frame of EU projects and with own national and regional funding made available to promote the cooperation between the two areas.

TARGET Objectives • Promotion of the Knowledge triangle concept through mobility • Development of sustainable co-operation between the consortium members • Establishing bilateral or multilateral cooperation, to create a win-win situation for all partners and avoid brain drain. • Enhancing the attractiveness of the EU universities for Central Asia countries • Contributing to the academic excellence and visibility of Central Asian Universities. • Promoting the concept of Lifelong Learning as a tool for development and social inclusion in Central Asia

TARGET Scholarship Categories Nationals of: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan who are registered as students or employed as staff in one of the TARGET Central Asian partner universities. Students must have been registered during the Spring semester 2011 to be eligible. Staff applicants must be employed at their home university by the time of the mobility. TARGET Scholarship Categories • Nationals of • Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan who • are currently registered in a higher education institution of these countries that is not included in the TARGET partnership, • Or • 2) who hold a university degree or equivalent from any higher education institution from the above mentione countries including persons working in public administration, public and private enterprises. • Mobility level: Master Group 2 WHEN? General Admission Requirements • Undergraduate Candidates must have completed at least three years of university studies • Master Candidates must have completed four years of university studies, equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (in Central Asia) Students in their final year of undergraduate education may also apply and can, if considered qualified, receive a conditional offer. They should include a written statement from the degree administration’s office, confirming that they are enrolled in the final year and giving the expected completion date. • PhD Candidates must have completed a master level degree and in case of short term mobility, they must already be enrolled on a PhD program at their home university • Post-Doctorate Candidates must have completed a third cycle
