  1. Government Goals: I can identify the jobs of the three branches of government I can explain how laws are made

  2. We will continue to learn about our government through two class activities: Three Branches of Government Web Quest Simulation Activity: How a Bill Becomes a Law You will draw various government jobs out of a hat You will work with the other people that are part of your branch We will start with the legislative branch. Here, they will go through the process of writing a bill. Next, the bill will go to the executive branch, where the president will veto or pass the law. Finally, an issue regarding the law will come up. The law will go to the Supreme Court and they will decide if it is constitutional. Each branch will be involved in the simulation activity. While your branch is waiting for some action, you will be deepening your knowledge of government and your branch with this web quest. There is a part A and a part B. Everyone does the same research for part A, which is about our government. Part B is more specific to your branch. Each branch is split up into three teams: Executive Branch (white team), Legislative Branch (red team), and Judicial Branch (blue team). Please see my class website for further instructions.
