  3. 1. Order the points from greatest potential energy to least. Explain why you ordered them the way you did. In your explanation include the word height. 2. ACEBD – The greater the height of an object, from its reference point, the greater the PE (stored energy). 2. Order the points from greatest kinetic energy to least. Explain why you ordered them the way you did. In your explanation include the concept of energy transfer. DBECA – As the height of the object, from its reference point, decreases the velocity increases. PE is converted to KE as it gets closer to the ground.

  5. Group work – Do not write on the problem provided With your group members you will: • Draw the diagram in your notes • Solve each of the problems in your notes • When finished check the key and turn class problem sheet into the black bin.

  6. KE and PE mini project EQ 1: How can we increase the KE of our group? EQ 2: How can we increase the PE of our group?

  7. Group assignment • Find the numbers at the back of the table and assemble into your groups. • Pick a leader for your group (2 minutes to decide) • Group leaders come see me for instructions and project sheet
