  2. What type of jobs are seen here?

  3. Neolithic Age “New Stone Age.” Began around 8,000 BCE. Humans used sharpened stone tools and grew their own crops. For example: In the Neolithic Age, humans learned to farm and no longer used hunting and gathering to find food.

  4. Specialization of Labor When different people in society take on specific jobs that require unique skills. For example: In medicine, there are specializations like heart doctor, pediatrician, cardiologist, etc.

  5. Domestication The process of taming an animal or plant and keeping it as a pet or on a farm to grow. Example: Humans domesticated plants that were desirable to eat and animals that were useful for humans.

  6. Settlement A permanent community where people live. For example: Catalhoyuk was the first human settlement in present-day Turkey.

  7. Surplus Having more than you need. For example: There was a surplus of donut in A2 so the students gave the rest away to teachers.

  8. Social Institutions Centers created by people to meet the needs of society, in order for them to exist Example: Schools, government, shelters, hospitals, etc.
