  3. Sabotage • Deliberate destruction

  4. obstinate • stubborn, not yielding to an argument or persuasion

  5. synagogue • a Jewish house of worship, also known as temple.

  6. swatstika • the official symbol representing the Nazi party • The swatstika represents awful things that happened to the Jews during WWII.

  7. stocky • Broad and sturdily built.

  8. defiantly • bold resistance to an opposing force or authority.

  9. Impassive • Revealing no emotion; expressionless.

  10. intricate • Very complicated or detailed

  11. padlock • portable device used to defend against theft, vandalism, sabotage, unauthorized use, and even harm.

  12. winced • Give a slight involuntary grimace or shrinking movement of the body out of pain or distress.
