  1. Abortion: the Pro’s and Con’s English 11

  2. The Abortion Debate Cassandra Carranza

  3. Abortion • Abortion is becoming a bigger issue to many supporters and opponents • Women who are for it believes it’s a women’s right to choose abortion, and what they want to do to their body. • Women who are against it believe unborn babies are innocent human beings from the moment of conception. They have fundamental right to life. • The most important aspects to understand about abortions is: • Americans considering themselves pro-life • why people should be Pro or Con about abortions • how many abortions there are each day • each year, laws • related to abortions • understanding the stages and issues.

  4. Pro or con ? • one must consider the reasons to why they feel it is fine to be Pro-life and Pro-choice. • “When does life begin” describes that many Americans consider themselves Pro-life, and Pro-choice. • since 1995, when the poll first started that majority of Americans identified as Pro-life • first time since 2000 that more people were Pro-life than Pro-choice • When abortions occurred, this evidence proves why women give their right to either be Pro-life or Pro-choice. • women become the affect to choose abortion or be against it, but also led to finding out reasons why they are Pro or Con.

  5. Why women are pro or con • An important part of abortion is why are women still consider on being Pro about it when it should be Con. • Explaining the effects of having an abortion and why women think it’s best to have on one or not to have one analyzing different opinions and reasons why women decided to be pro or con. • Pro Legal abortion says “A women’s right to choose abortion is a fundamental right”, • Con Legal Abortion says “Unborn babies are innocent human beings from the moment of conception. They have fundamental right to life, which must be protected.” • This demonstrates now the decision to continue or not continue your pregnancy is very personal to many women and what they choose to be. • this evidence became the basis for many women and what they choose either be pro or con.

  6. Abortion is murder • each day there is many babies getting killed leading to abortion and Pro-life women think it’s okay to live with killing their own creation. • “an average of about 1.3 million abortions per year (1.6 million in the 1990, 1.2 million in 2005.)” • Pro-choice groups attributed it to increased economic pressures facing poor women, who choose to undergo abortions rather than face the cost of raising a child. • realize how performing an abortion is not the right thing to do, and why it should come to a stop. • women take the role of performing and killing their own baby, abortion is performed each day, millions of babies are not having the chance to live because of abortion. • In today’s world abortion is coming more and more of a problem to those who are against it.

  7. Laws of Abortion • there are laws which different states have about abortion either they are against or with it. • Pro-choice proponents argued that abortion should not be treated than other health care services • not every health care service will be pro about abortions, and that is why there are laws in different states. • not all abortion audiences are to be able to just go in a health care clinic and expect to get an abortion. Some states have a law s which abortion is one they cannot get treated into having or getting an abortion. • some states have their own laws which take the role of stopping abortion and not giving the health care of women wanting an abortion.

  8. Stages of Abortion • stages of pregnancy affect how the baby is when abortion is led, and what stages there is to it. • There are three sections of pregnancy called trimester and how long each one is, claiming how abortions are performed in the earliest weeks of pregnancy. • “no child should have to suffer the consequences of the mother”. • no abortion is worth killing any baby, it’s a human being and it should not be killed. • there is not right for any women to kill their own baby. Pro-choice is the way to go.
