Case StudiesMicro-Lobbying Pharmacovigilance: Monitoring of EU legislation ► Case: EU Commission plans “Pharma Package” with different legislative measures for the development of an EU safety monitoring system for drugs (Pharmacovigilance). ► Aim: providing intelligence concerning single contents of the package, its aims, the state of procedure as well as Stakeholders Mapping and Action Roadmap.

Planned tax exemption is subject of the EU state aid proceedings. ► Aim: providing intelligence concerning the state of procedure and the options for action in the Commission proceedings.

Case StudiesMicro-Lobbying Car Parts Manufacturer: State aid ► Case: German car parts manufacturer complains about public compensatory payment for workers (state aid) that a competitor from another Member State receives . ► Aim: fast action needed to prevent competitive disadvantages; lodging a complaint with DG Competition against unlawful state aid.

Case StudiesMicro-Lobbying Development of EU Competence: Workshops and Seminars ► Case: company aims to optimise its “European capability” (more active & systematical representation of its interests in Brussels). ► Aim: designing a company in-house workshop for TOP Management including a review of all activities in EU Public Affairs, specifying aims & priorities and agreeing follow-up measures.

Case StudiesMicro-Lobbying Waste Shipment: Intervention in case of trade barriers and market access ► Case: a specialist disposal company transports steel scrap with a shipper to the Netherlands. The police requires for their control the registration in the Dutch NIWO list of both, the disposal company and the appointed shipper. ► Aim: clarifying European law on cross-border freight haulage.

Case StudiesMicro-Lobbying 5 Liter Containers: Intervention in case of trade barriers and market access ► Problem: a prohibition order of the local German government forbids a German company to sell fruit juice in 5 liter containers. ► Aim:Applicable German law not compatible with EU legislation; submitting a complaint to the DG Internal Market; temporary suspension of the prohibition order and repeal of the German legal norm.
