  2. INFIX • Infix is an affix that occur within a base or root. • Infixis an affix that joins within a root or stem. Example: Guruh (thunder) -mu- gemuruh (thundering) فعل(did) -١- فاعل(someone who does)

  3. CONFIX • Confix/ circumfix/ ambifix is an affix that is attached to the front and the end of a base or root Example: Count (V) a- -ing accounting (N) Abai (beglect) te- -kan terabaikan (ignored)

INTERFIX • Interfix is an affix which is placed between two different morphemes and it does not have a semantic meaning • An interfix is attached to two different morphemes and it differents with infix which is inserted in the middle of one morpheme. Example: Interfix -o- in speed and meter Speed -o- meter speedometer Obscen -o- meter obscenometer

SIMULFIX • Simulfix is an affix that change one or more existing phoneme in order to modify the meaning of a morpheme. • Simulfix is change of a vowel or consonant in a stem or root which is changing the meaning of the word • It is generally considered irreguralities and pluralization. Example: Man (sing.) men (plural) Woman (sing.) women (plural) Mouse (sing.) mice (plural) Drive drove Foot (sing.) feet (plural) Bring brought

  6. TRANSFIX • Transfix is a discontinous affix which occurs at more than one position in word. Example: In Arabic triliteral root k - t - b ya - - u - u yaktubu (he is writing) - a - a - a kataba (he wrote) - i - a - kitab (book) - u - u - u - n kutubun (books)

  7. SUPERFIX Superfix is a type of affix where a suprasegmental change (such as tone or stress) modifies an existing morpheme's meaning. It can be detected in spoken language. It is a morpheme consisting of a pattern of stress or intonation features that are associated with the syllables of a word or phrase (as the distinctive stress pattern of the noun subject and the verb subject)
