Code Enforcement and AdminstrationO.C.G.A. 8-2-26 • “Qualified Inspector” • Holds International Code Council certification or, • Building Inspector • Residential or Commercial Electrician Inspector • Mechanical Inspector • Plumbing Inspector • Holds construction trade license from State Construction Licensing Board • Electrical Contractor • Conditioned Air Contractor • Journeyman or Master Plumber

  4. Inspector Minimum Qualifications • Knowledge and level of competency in occupational field • Experience to understand basic principles and major duties of position, usually associated with completion of apprenticeship/internship • Possession of or ability to obtain International Code Council certification within two years • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid drivers license

  5. New Employee Orientation • Personnel hired must possess extensive knowledge and experience in field • Participate in New Employee Orientation • Rotation through all administrative areas • Rotation with all inspection disciplines • Final rotation with trade coordinator • Authorized to perform inspections after demonstrating competency in field and approved by trade coordinator.
