Introduction • Rooting your mobile devices will give you the opportunity to do more on mobile phones like speeding up with over locking, customizing your entire look of your smart phones. • With rooted phones, you can run the apps that help to access system settings as well as flash custom ROM’s to your phone. • If you are new to the android rooting, you should know the lot of basic terms about rooting.

  3. ROM and Flash • It is basically a modified version of Android.  It has many features such as different look, speed enhancements etc., • Flashing means installing something on your mobiles whether it be a kernel and ROM.

  4. Stock • After you know about what is android rooting? Then, you should have an idea about the Stock. • It is fully referred as “Stock Android” and depending on the context. • Many popular ROM’s are based on stock android with some additions like CyanogenMod. • Stock is also mean the another version of android that comes with your phones.

Kernel • It is one of the operating system component which helps to manages communication between hardware and software. • There are lot of kernels used on mobile phones which helps to speed up the mobile performance and increasing your battery life. • Be alert while choosing kernel, since bad kernel can cause serious problems to your phone easily.

  6. Nandroid • It is third party recovery modules, you can make backups for your phone called nandroid backups. • If you install something that breaks your mobile phones, you simply flash back to nandroid backup to return all  things.
