History The Statewide Human Resource and Payroll System (SHARP) was implemented 12/17/1995 PeopleSoft Version 4.02 Upgrades completed: 10/14/1998 Version 7.0 05/11/1999 Version 7.01 10/26/1999 Version 7.02 06/18/2003 Version 8.0 SP1 07/25/2007 Version 8.9 06/23/2010 SMART Integration/Time & Labor

  3. Benefits Maintains support for the mission-critical SHARP application • Workforce Administration • Recruitment • Base Benefits • Compensation • Time and Labor • Payroll • Integration to G/L and Financials

Benefits (continued) Completes transition of all non-regent State agencies to PeopleSoft Time and Labor • Custom Time and Leave programs/processes will be eliminated • Provides ability for agencies to utilize Employee Self-Service for on-line employee time entry, eliminating paper time documents

Benefits (continued) Provides opportunity for increased efficiencies through use of 64-bit architecture and XML • 64-bit technical architecture has potential to decrease processing time of payroll programs • Provides ability for electronic issuance of W-2s, lowering the cost of printing/mailing W-2s • XML structure provides increased flexibility for document and report development

  6. Benefits (continued) Reduces customizations and streamlines administrative tasks/costs • Provides improved integration between HCM and Financials with Full Project Chartfield Integrations • New Excel spreadsheet to component interface load reduces need for custom loads

Benefits (continued) Delivers enhancements to drive higher organization productivity • Improves productivity with faster navigation, streamlined interface, and Web 2.0 tools • Improves HR service delivery with new workforce communication tools and improved self service capabilities • Improves decision-making through integrated business intelligence with Oracle Human Resources Analytics
