  3. AZ COTTON GROWERS TESTING PROGRAM • Yuma – Montie Lee, co-operator • Maricopa – Maricopa Ag Center, co-operator • Conducted by Steve Husman • Funded through the Az. Cotton Growers and state support from Cotton Incorporated

  4. 41 lines selected from the ACGA Seed Breeding Program39 were 4th generation from Michael Gilbert’s 2001 crosses • Each selection was replicated four times at both sites • Three commercially released varieties were used as checks at both sites

  5. Where do we go from here? • Steve Husman will evaluate another 40-60 lines in 2005 • Maintain cooperative link with Cotton Incorporated • Initiate search for breeder • Increase in assessment? When? How much?
