  2. From the Newport School District Website: Choose Staff Resources

  3. 1. From the drip down menu – Choose Important Links2. Choose Skyward Login: Staff Login

  4. 1. Click on the Financial Management tab at the top of the page.2. Click on the Purchasing button.3. Click on the Requisitionbutton.

  5. Click on the Apply Filter button.

  6. To add a new requisition; click on the Add button.

  7. 1. Choose the correct Requisition Group – Only the groups you order for should be available from the drop down menu.2.Make sure the Fiscal Year is correct. It should say 2011-2012 September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2012.

  8. 1. Add a brief Description in the box provided.2. Choose the Vendor (if the vendor is not in the system you can contact your building secretary or Becki at the district office)3. Choose the Ship to address. Start typing your schools name and click on the Name when it appears.4. Make sure the order is being shipped to your attention.5. Do not change anything else on this screen.

  9. If you only need to order 1 item – click the Save and Add Detail button (10 of the same item, is the same as one item). If you are ordering multiple items click on the Save and Mass Add Detail button.

  10. Line numbers always start at 100 and increase in increments of 10. (Do not try to change these)

  11. 1. Leave the Taxable box checked.2. Line Type should always have the radio button on Merchandise.3. Catalog – this is the item number assigned from the vendor. If there is no number, leave it blank.4. Quantity – How many of that particular item are you ordering?5. Unit of Measure – each, pkg, bundle, set, etc……

  12. 1. Insert the unit cost.2. The Total Amount will calculate automatically.3. Complete a more detailed Description of the item being ordered.4. Repeat for all lines needed.

  13. When you have entered all the lines you need, click the Save button.

  14. Click on the Add Requisition Accounts button.

  15. 1. Start entering the account the purchase will be paid from in the blue highlighted box at the middle of the screen.2. Hit enter on your keyboard.3. A list of account codes will be displayed. Check the box to the right of the correct code.4. When you are satisfied with your selection click the Save Account Distrib button in the upper right hand corner.

  16. If you are satisfied that you have entered your requisition correctly, your are ready to click on the Submit for Approval button in the upper right hand corner.
