  1. 2014 US National Chemistry Olympiad • Timeline • Local Competition(Mar 15, 2014) • National Competition(Apr 2014) • Study Camp in Colorado(USAF Academy,June 2014) • InternationalCompetition(July 2014) The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) is a multi-tiered competition designed to stimulate and promote achievement in high school chemistry in Grades 9 to 12. Sponsored by the American Chemical Society, the national competition highlights significant national achievement. Each year, four students are chosen to represent the United States team at the International Chemistry Olympiad competition. Up to 6 students per school are typically nominated for the local competition held at the University of Akron. The best 10 students in the 3-county are (Summit, Stark, Portage) participate in the National Competition, also held at the University of Akron. The nationwide 20 best students are selected for a two-week study camp at the USAF Academy, Colorado, and the four best students thereof are invited to participate in the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad in Hanoi, Vietnam, July 20-29, 2014. Registration forms for nominated and interested students are available by Jan. 2014.
