  3. Background Pedestrian Safety & Mobility Assessment Tool based on Pedestrian Environmental Quality Index developed by City of San Francisco Tested on six area roads: Edgewater Dr., Park Ave., SR 50 Downtown, SR 50 West, SR 438, US 441

  4. Scores All based on 0 to 100 scale • Intersection Score • Walkability Score – combination of all features related to the walking experience • Mid-Block Crossing Score – ease or difficulty of crossing between intersections

  5. Scores • Block Intersection Score – average of intersection scores for a given block • Total Crossing Score – combination Mid-Block and Block Intersection scores • Pedestrian Trip Potential – estimate of relative potential for pedestrian trips along and across the road
