  3. COUNSELOR AND STUDENT CONNECTIONS Students identify with their school and any programs they participate in (GEAR UP, TRiO, etc.) Students at STHS (who are not in TRiO). Students at STHS in the TRiO Program. Smith Town High School Students

  4. COUNSELOR AND STUDENT CONNECTIONS Counselors have a professional access key which connects them to the school or program. This unique key allows counselors to access the connection and their students without viewing students from other schools and counties. This works similarly to an administrator of a group on Facebook. They can manage the group and access their “members’” information. Each student could have their information monitored by multiple counselors/professionals depending upon the number of programs they are involved in and “connections” they have.

  5. COUNSELOR AND STUDENT CONNECTIONS The PAAK code provides security for you and your students. Only share the PAAK code with professionals in your school who you want to be able to access students’ information. DON’T share the PAAK code or your log in information with students.

  6. How can I use the professional center? • You can track your students’ progress (individually, as a group you define, or as the entire student body). • You can send messages to your students (e.g reminders, notes of encouragement, etc.) • You can run reports of the students who have completed college applications or other milestones. • You can access lesson plans for you and your fellow educators. • You can create events and invite students to attend. You can also send out event reminders.
