  1. Tips on How to Pass Your AIPGMEE Exam The All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam is one of the toughest and most nerve-wracking exams you’ll ever take. Passing is all about preparation, though, so the more effectively you study, the better your chances of success. Here are some tips for passing the AIPGMEE. Don’t Use Too Many Resources Piling your desk with resource material may seem like a good way to prepare, but it may do little other than overwhelm you. The best way to prepare is to find a handful of good books. Textbooks based on each of the topics covered under the AIPGMEE are available, and it isn’t necessary to refer to more than one updated textbook. When you combine these with other test prep methods, they’re the only books you’ll need. Take Mock Tests The AIPGMEE is now conducted online, so it’s important for you to take the time to familiarize yourself with the layout of the examination. Online test patterns differ from written examinations, so when you enter the testing facility with a firm understanding of how to proceed, you’ll feel more confident. This alone can help boost your ability to pass your exam. Get Familiar with the Topics The AIPGMEE covers some 16 topics, but Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, and Anesthesia occupy the largest percentage of the questions. Be sure to study these topics extensively, and remember that the test will not repeat questions. Be sure to focus on fresh content each time you study, but don’t forget to go back and quiz yourself on the topics you’ve already learned. Devote Your Days to Study Those who have passed the examination with the highest scores claim they devoted eight to nine hours out of each day to studying for their exams. Many started studying six months in advance of the exam date, as well. Also, keep in mind

  2. that this time excludes any coaching or study groups you may belong to. You’ll need at least eight hours of self-study daily. Use Question Banks Question banks are a great way to familiarize yourself with online test-taking, but they’re also fantastic for getting a good grasp of the questions that you’ll see on your exam. Choose question banks that have been recently updated and that offer you a variety of test-taking modes, reports, and other features. This way, you can customize your learning experience to your own needs and study in a way that works best for you. Take Care of Yourself Although you might want to pull an all-nighter and study into the wee hours of the morning, be aware that your mind needs ample rest in order to absorb and retain all of the information you feed it. Rest between study sessions, eat a healthy diet, and try to break up your learning into chunks that your brain can easily handle. Trying to learn too much too quickly is usually counterproductive. Passing the AIPGMEE doesn’t have to be impossible. Remember that it’s all about preparation. As long as you use the best available resources, stay motivated, and take care of yourself along the way, you’re sure to do well and pass your examination.
