Especially you can see Mysore Pak as the main item in the display. • Mysore Pak is commonly known as the king of the South Indian sweets and was accidentally invented in Mysore. Making this South Indian sweet recipes is not difficult at all. • But making it in such a way that it is soft for a longer period of time is the challenging one for many.

  4. The measurements required for the South Indian Recipes are 1 cup of besan/gram flour, 1 cup ghee/clarified butter, 1 cup sugar and finally ¼ cup of water. First, dry roast the 1 cup of gram flour on a low flame for 5-8 minutes or until it turns aromatic. Sieve this mixture so that any lumps present in the besan can be removed. Now add ½ cup of ghee to the filtered besan and mix well. Use the whisk method so that no lumps will be formed. After this, in a separate pan add 1 cup of sugar and ¼ of water to it. Let the sugar completely dissolve in the water and heat it until it comes to one-string consistency.

  5. When the sugar reached its one-string consistency, keep the flame at low and add the besan ghee mixture to it. Stir well in such a way that sugar syrup and besan ghee mixture combines well. Further add 2 tablespoon of ghee in batched and keep mixing it. After repeating this adding ghee in batches you can see that the mixture starts to separate from the pan. At the end to can add milk to enrich the flavour but this is completely optional. Now, transfer the besan mixture to the butter paper or greased tray and allow it to cool. After 30 minutes, cut this to desired shape. Finally, your favourite South Indian sweet recipes are ready to be served.
