Who we are – William Angliss Institute • Is the Specialist centre for the Tourism, Hospitality and Food Industry in Victoria, Australia. • Is a global provider of total education and training solutions for the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. • Has 13,000 Clients/Students and 300 Professional Staff.

Who we are – William Angliss Institute • Implemented projects in Indonesia, Viet Nam, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Brunei, Saudi Arabia Vanuatu, New Caledonia and French Polynesia. • Working with private sector corporations, Governments as well as Multi Lateral Funding Bodies including: Asian Development Bank, World Bank and AusAID, etc.

Project Objectives and Technical Deliverables Objectives Deliverables • Harmonise the tourism curriculum and qualifications and skills recognition system frameworks across ASEAN countries • Endorsed Framework of Common ASEAN Tourism Curriculum (CATC) with minimum standards Initial project • Endorsed Framework of Regional Qualifications and Skills Recognition Systems (RQFSRS) • Assist the implementation of MRA to facilitate mobility of skilled tourism professionals Initial project • Details of CATC competency standards for 6 labour divisions developed • Promote consistency and uniformity of standards in tourism training program and skills recognition high priority work Project extension

Benefits of the Endorsed Template 2) • Easy to read and to be understood thus increasing the likelihood of compliance with requirements and increasing the possibility of standard training delivery • Enables the content to be written in a country-neutral style that facilitates training delivery in each ASEAN member country • Allows for the individual provider to establish their own context and thus assists with customisation to help meet the needs of both providers and host establishments (employers) currently and as they vary over time.
