  3. INTRODUCTION Ekadashi is one of the important day for Vaishnavites. This day comes twice in lunar month in the dark fortnight and in the bright fortnight. On this day, it is recommended not to eat or drink anything. This fast is significant for those who have faith and worship lord Vishnu. This fast brings you the peace harmony and prosperity. It is considered as one of the most fruitful fast in Hindu mythology. 1
