Who We Are • Statewide organization based at The OSU Center for Automotive Research (formerly Central Ohio Clean Fuels Coalition) • Mission: Increase availability and use of alternative fuels and energy-saving transportation technologies • Increase American energy security • Improve air quality • Support Ohio’s economy • Membership-based organization • CFO has been active for a long time in promoting E85 and FFVs.   3. E85’s Environmental Benefits • E10 provides modest environmental benefits; E85 provides substantial ones • E85’s environmental benefits: • Lower THC and Lower NOx = ozone reduction • Lower Toxics • Lower Net CO2 emissions • Positive Energy Balance • More… Clean Fuels Ohio

All American Lung Association of Minnesota fuel/vehicle testing has been conducted by the University of North Dakota Energy & Environmental Research Center and the Minnesota State University-Mankato MnCAR program Clean Fuels Ohio

Near Term Prospects for E85 Retail Sites • CFO has been working closely with a wide range of new and prospective biofuels retailers • One-two months: T & C Co-op, Full Circle Fuels, Knight, Kroger, and possibly others should bring total to 13 • End of 2006: probably 18-20 • Midwest E85 Corridor Grant: letters of interest from 13 different retail owners – listing 99 sites (12 in Cleveland-Akron metro area) • Doesn’t include all who have expressed interest in E85 • End of 2007 – at least 50 total sites, probably more • Additional state incentive funding would be helpful Clean Fuels Ohio
