Reasons include: Desire for long-term, fixed-rate debt Ability to diversify financing sources Outgrow the capacity of existing lenders Wish to maintain availability with revolving facility lenders Private Placements: Unregistered debt or equity financings. The most common form – long-term, fixed-rate debt.
