  1. The Knight By Josh Medlin

  2. Who is the knight • A gentleman, never straying from the path of chivalry. • An honorable and loyal fighter to his lord and the cause of spreading religion. • An all around peace keeper of the group

  3. The Gentleman • A true man in every aspect strong, caring, brave, honest, peace loving. • Both the narrator and the host admire this man, which may not seem like much but look at how both view all the other pilgrims. • Takes joy in seeing people succeed. Seen after the Nun’s tale. • Doesn’t wear flashy clothes even though knights are known for nobility.

  4. The Warrior • Fought for the Crusaders spreading religion everywhere with the edge of their swords. • He battled the Muslims in Egypt, Spain, and Turkey. • Also battled the Russian Orthodox in Lithuania and Russia. • These wars were being fought less and this is where we meet the Knight, after he has just returned from a expedition.

  5. The Peace Keeper • At the end of the Pardoner’s tale there is a argument, the Knight sees this and stops it all by ordering them to kiss and make up. • He generally likes peace and prosperity you see this when the Nun’s tale is being told, he’d rather hear stories about “joye and greet solas” and hear about a man the climbs out of poverty into wealth and fortune.
