Why EUCALYPTUS ??An Elastic Utility Computing Architecture for Linking Your Programs To Useful Systems • The Eucalyptus project is important because it 'frees' cloud computing. • With Eucalyptus, anyone can set up their own cloud system on their own hardware. • Eucalyptus makes it possible to investigate cloud possibilities inside a company, without the need to deploy the applications on external servers at Amazon.
