  2. What is a 3-D formulas (reference)? • A reference that refers to the same cell or range on multiple sheets is called a 3-D reference(formula). • Range: Two or more cells on a sheet. The cells in a range can be adjacent or nonadjacent.

  3. How Can You Use a 3-D Reference? • Using 3D formulas allows you to calculate data throughout a workbook using multiple worksheets. • You can use a 3-D reference to add up budget allocations between three departments, Sales, HR, and Marketing, each on a different worksheet. • Total stats from a ballgame • Total Bonuses that each department received
