  3. AP Practice Set-Prose • Work with a partner. • Mark your own text, but put the answers for BOTH of you on one sheet of paper: #23-33. • Use dictionaries, online resources, whatever, in order to parse questions and figure out answers. • Check your answers on the answer slide. • After completing the practice set, write a response for your exit ticket.

  4. “Maud Martha” Answer Key

  5. “Maud Martha” Exit Slip • What did you notice about the test? (Consider the complexity of the reading, the questions, and the answer choices.) • Which questions did you think were the most difficult? Why? • What actions must we take in order to best prepare you for the AP Lit exam in May?

  6. HOMEWORK • A typed, publishable copy of your final draft of your essay on The Awakening is due tomorrow, Wednesday, December 5, 2012.

  7. Peer Review • Work with a partner. • Please be conscientious as you read your partner’s essay. • Complete the review of the entire essay in good faith. • Final draft (TYPED) is due on Wednesday, December 5.

  8. Writing your Essay Choose one of the four options. Develop your base thesis. You must use direct quotes, parentheses, and page references. Try to develop the skill of including your interpretation with your direct quote in the same sentence.
