  4. Student Drop Off & Pick Up Grade 6 - Students will enter/exit from Indiana Avenue and use the entrance at the gym. LBMS

  5. Start & End Time • Breakfast • Between 7:35 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. • All students will begin entering the school when the doors open at 7:35am. No students will be permitted to hang outside or leave school grounds once they arrive at school. • All students must report to homeroom no later than 8:05 a.m. • Dismissal is at 2:48 p.m.

Student Schedules • ELA (90 minutes every day) • Math (90 minutes every day) • Science(90 minutes every other day) • Social Studies(90 min every other day) • Elective (43 minutes every other day) • PE/Health(43 minutes every other day) • Lunch (43 minutes every day) *Schedules will only be given out after all immunization records have been received by the school.*

This learning is not limited to the development of physical skills and should also facilitate the social, personal and psychological development of each student. Life Skills: Students should learn how to balance their life, emotional well-being, leadership, personal growth and decision-making skills. Healthy Lifestyle: Students should become committed to an addiction-free, physically active and long-term healthy lifestyle. Sportsmanship: Students should learn respect and concern for rules and officials, opponents, and the spirit and customs of sports.   14. The Green and White Association was created in 1935 following a Long Branch High School’s football victory over Asbury Park High School. The victory was Long Branch’s first over Asbury Park in a 20 year period. A group of PARENTS decided there was a need to have an organization to support the athletic programs. Motto: Win - Lose - Draw Each year they host a Senior Athlete Banquet for all seniors and support the department financially through fundraising. The G&W gives annually (2) $1,000 and (2) $500 scholarship to a graduating senior athletes. $10 registration fee to participate. Green & White Association

The purpose of the NJHS is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character and citizenship in students of the Long Branch Middle School.   17. To be eligible for selection any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade candidate must have been in attendance for a period of two marking periods at the Long Branch Middle School. Candidates eligible for selection shall have a minimum average cumulative grade of 90%, with no grade lower than 84%, using the 100 point system. Upon meeting the grade level, enrollment, and GPA standards, candidates shall then be considered based on their service, leadership, character, and citizenship. National Junior Honor Society

  18. The faculty council reviews the candidate information forms, faculty input, and other relevant information to determine those who fully meet the selection criteria for membership. Candidates become members when inducted at a special ceremony. National Junior Honor Society
