  3. Cassowary Coast Regional Council • Some Financial Facts: as at 18/09/08 • Total Community Equity: (to be re-valued) $428,307,608 • Total Liabilities: $ 29,776,841 • Total Rates Revenue: $ 41,283,200 = 79% of total revenue.

  5. Civil Works 2008-09 – Division 3 • Frog’s Hollow upgrade ($30,000subsidy) $60,000 • New Toilet Block Rotary Park $50,000 • SMB Foreshore Re-Hab $44,000 • Clump Point pontoon $30,000 • Upgrade MB Van Park lighting $ 8,000 • Total $192,000

Total spend on Capital Works - $7.24million • Division 3 – Spend on capital works = 16.67% of total for six divisions. • Made up of reserves, grants, TIDS, and general revenue. • Also road re-seal program: Explorer Drive, Webb Road, Wongaling Beach Road, Mission Drive, Commodore Street, Kootooloo Close, Mitchell Street, Conch St.

Visual Amenity Advisory Group – • Issues: Woolworths, Drain Seaview St., Narragon Cove wall, Village Green, entrance features etc. • Correspondence Woolworths – what they areprepared to do: Public art mural on wall in front of tanks, additional seating, bicycle racks, community notice board, taxi phone point – willing to engage with the community to discuss public art. Not prepared to put in planter boxes, parking for motor homes, planting in front of red fire boxes or extension of wall to hide tanks.
