  2. The student composes sentences using picture cues then copies the sentences onto loose leaf paper. Sentence strips are from Unique Learning System.

  3. To support the students’ IEP objective of reading sight words in various contexts, the students utilize the grade level regular education decodable books to practice reading independently, reading sight words, and answering comprehension questions.

  4. I purchased these Peek-a-Boo flip books for another student and this student loves them. During free choice time he will go get them and if no one will read them to him, he will look at them by himself and “read”. The books are lift-the-flap “Peek-a-Boo” books with repetitive lines that cover colors, farm animals, and costumes. They have touch-feel spots on the pages.

  5. MOTHER’S DAYThis was a Mother’s Day activity where the students made cards and attached to the flower vases. This is an example of a Level 1 card that uses Boardmaker pictures and pre-selected pictures to complete the card.

  7. Student is independently reading a leveled book from a Unique Learning System. Once the book was read he used the picture clues to recreate the picture from the book.

  9. Student is accessing the alphabet using an alphabet puzzle. The puzzle is self-checking so when the student places the letter back into correct spot, the puzzle will say the letter name and letter sound.

  10. The students used pictures to sequence story events. Can be used as an assessment to check for comprehension of story events.

  11. Differentiated levels of activities/assessment for composing alternate outcomes to a story. Level 2 Level 1 Level 3
